Swan Lake will never be the same again

Okay, so now it’s time for me to summarize the recent past for you all who didn’t care to ask. This blog post will be a little bit like your ol’ granny who you don’t meet so often but when you do, by god, she’s annoying and she will tell you everything about her life that you really don’t care about, she’s a little bit like IRL SPAM, and she’s the one with a hearing aid where you can turn down the volume, not cool. I’d like one of those. But still, for all you out there who feels like having an update, here it is.

We can start from the weekend when we went to like Leksand or something to rehears our stage appearance and “get to know each other better”, i know what you’re thinking but this ain’t Penn State and our coach was female. If we would get to know each other better I think that it’s best done in the woods with a knife, a little piece of barbed wire and five matches. Then you could really get the true experience of “Lord of the Flies” and see who’s who. That’s what I call team building, but it would probably end in a big feast on Oscar’s meaty body, because according to Niklas it was “the best substitute to a potato chip-sandwich”…

BUT!!! That didn’t happen of course, to my big surprise. Instead we talked a lot that night, drinking JD and eating Cheese Doodles, or was that just me? I don’t know… or remember…

Except for talking we had to come up with something to kill some time and that stupid idea, not to mention anyone in particular, *Cough* Johan *Cough, resulted in this:

As you might have noticed Rasmus and Niklas weren’t a part of this “slice of awesomeness”. They were too busy laughing…..

Now, we’re recording our new singles which is going to pretty good imho. Updates regarding this will come soon.

Well, I thought this post would be longer and I can guarantee that the others in the band will be disappointed. I’ve kinda hyped this blog post for a while but I’m simply too tired and starting to get sick so this is all you get… for now… Next blog post though, will be a really long one. That’s what she said.

Slapin’ Da Bass- and the Piano!

Hello there friend!

A few days ago we spent the day in my crib, tracking down the bass and some piano! After a pretty intense warm-up with tha bass playa Stefan "Conroy" Hallqvist, someone came up with the wonderful idea of making pea soup and pancakes, which was a delight!

The bass was layed down pretty fast, and luckily we captured mostly one-takes, requiring less cutting and results in an overall more "organic" sound. My apartment is right now stuffed with musical instruments and equipment, making it pretty hard just to get to the other side of the room, so a huge relief awaits when the tracking is done :)

Det händer grejer!

Vi har äntligen satt igång med de nya låtarna - har stationerat oss hos mig i min studio, importerat Niklas trumtracks, bärs och allsång... Här kommer det hända grejer de kommande veckorna och det tänkte vi inte låta er missa, därför sätter vi igång och bloggar lite om det, med en kort introduktionspost idag! Det vi gjort/gör idag är klippa och organisera trumspåren niklas lirade in i studion förra helgen, vilket e trist as hell, men viktigt!

Hoppas självklart att ni LÄÄÄNGTAR efter vårat nya material, för det gör vi! Ciao for now.

Generalrepetition: Check!

Då var det dags. Imorgon smäller det!

Jag sitter här halvt skakig efter det sista repet vi hade, för drygt tre timmar sedan, inför Mosebacke. Det låter snuskigt bra! Vi kommer bjuda på en del gammalt, en del nytt samt en del otippat. Vem vet, kanske kommer Rasmus plocka upp en trumpet och riva av ett jazzsolo? Vare sig man gillar freshpop eller inte så kan man ju åtminstone stå och digga våra snygga scenkläder. För att sammanfatta: morgondagens gig kommer att vara ALLA till belåtenhet.
