Slapin’ Da Bass- and the Piano!

Hello there friend!

A few days ago we spent the day in my crib, tracking down the bass and some piano! After a pretty intense warm-up with tha bass playa Stefan "Conroy" Hallqvist, someone came up with the wonderful idea of making pea soup and pancakes, which was a delight!

The bass was layed down pretty fast, and luckily we captured mostly one-takes, requiring less cutting and results in an overall more "organic" sound. My apartment is right now stuffed with musical instruments and equipment, making it pretty hard just to get to the other side of the room, so a huge relief awaits when the tracking is done :)

This Sunday we continue the journey towards our new do-it-yourself singles, and this time we move on to the guitar tracks, both acoustic and electric. We will also record some more piano and organ by our keyboard playa Johan Hargne! After tracking all the instruments and vocals, it will be an honor for me to produce and mix these songs, I'm really stoked about it! Peace /Rasmus
